We want to express our sympathies to all the family concerning the passing of a mother, grandmother, & friend. To think, Ruth is in the presence of the Lord. No more suffering or sleepless nights. May all who mourn the loss of Ruth, be encouraged that Ruth has gone to a far better place, & her work here is over. She has already heard "well done my good & faithful servant"

My sincere condolences to the family for your loss. I have such fond memories of being at the Montgomery family home in Toronto. Mr and Mrs Montgomery would have us all over and we would gather in the living room for slides or home movies. Maureen and I would watch and play from under the table and there would be lots of conversation and laughter filling the house. After Mr Montgomery went home to Heaven, there were lunches at Yorkdale. My Mom and Ruth would go to a "fancy" place and Maureen, Beverly and I would eat at the food court. Our Moms loved to sit and chat. Over the years the visits were less frequent but I was always welcomed by Mrs Montgomery with a big smile and we would sit and chat for a bit, sitting on the sheet covered sofas before Maureen and I went out. What colour were those sofas?? As time marched forward, my Mom and Ruth always kept in touch. Not sure they always heard each other's words over the phone, but they always enjoyed catching up and talking about the Leafs or the Jays. It is never easy to say goodbye, but so much easier knowing Mrs Montgomery is safe in the arms of Jesus. Much love from Florida, Cheryl Forbes

A very fortunate woman to live a long and full life. Very fortunate to have a devoted son during that life that was always there for her. May there be peace for her and her survivors. God bless

Dear Penny and Bruce,
Mrs. Montgomery lived a long and productive life and thought the world of her family.
As long as we remember her and speak of her, she will still be with us.
