Ruth J. Hawkes

December 8, 1931 - February 17, 2026

On Tuesday February 17th, 2026 Ruth Hawkes in her 95th year, peacefully and gently passed into eternity, entering into the loving arms of her Saviour Jesus her Lord, whom she loved and served all her days. Beloved wife of the late Fred Hawkes. Loving mother to her children Trish and Wayne Hutchinson, Karen and Nick Munroe, Doug and Sue Hawkes. Beloved Grandmother to Jeff and Erin Hutchinson. Pre-deceased by her brothers George Trewin and his wife Winnie and Robert Trewin and his wife Shirley. She lived her life with passion and purpose, never afraid to try something new, for her life was full of adventure. She was always ready to lend a hand to help others. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 at Turner and Porter Funeral home, "Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel" 1981 Dundas St West, Mississauga, On L5K 1R2 (905) 828-8000. Visitation begins at 2:00 pm, Funeral service begins at 3:00 pm with Reception to follow.

I didn't meet her, but I have met Doug, and I have heard and read of the value and color she added to our world. Grateful to hear that she's with our Lord and hopeful to meet her someday.

We had the ultimate privilege of being loved and cared for by someone so kind and selfless. Our Mom was a one of a kind. She gave us all a Godly heritage and invested all her time in making sure we were all happy. She set an example for us to follow by living life to the fullest, without regret.

We will miss her more than words can say. Rest now mom. We got this! Say hi to Dad for us.
