In Celebration of

Ruben Flores

January 26, 1982 -  June 14, 2018

Ruben Flores will always be in our hearts.

Beloved son of Ruben Flores and Hortencia Osco. Much loved brother of Cindy and Patricia. Dear nephew of Josefa Fiallo and the late Carlos Fiallo, and loved cousin of Eric, Rita, and Vivian. He will be forever remembered and greatly missed by his aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family and friends in Bolivia and Canada.

Ruben, a kind soul, had a quiet yet adventurous nature to him. Born in La Paz, Bolivia, he arrived to Canada in his early twenties. He graduated with honours from both the Bio-Chemical Engineering program at Humber College and from the Healthcare Management program at York University. He had a wide collection of music (especially music from the 70's and 80's) and on his down time enjoyed reading and watching movies. He was always up for outdoor activities, and he grew fond of the Canadian outdoors and enjoyed camping each summer. The memory of his quiet smile, his laughter and unique humour will stay with us. He will forever be our "Primo", our "Isra", our "Hijo", our Ruben. We will miss you.

There are no words to describe the great sadness of losing Ruben. He was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He was so hardworking, genuine, smart, and humble. His kindness shined through in everything he did. He was so fun to be around and I enjoyed every moment I spent with him. I will cherish my memories of him forever. We are all better for knowing him. To know Ruben is to love him. I will miss him so much.

Ruben was one of a kind. His genuinity and positivity radiated through his kind eyes and infectious smile. He was attentive to other people's feelings and went above and beyond to make someone's job a bit easier, day a bit better and smile a bit bigger. He was patient, understanding and everything that makes a good manager. Yet he was more than just a manager, he was a great friend with a pure and kind-hearted soul. Although his time was cut short with us, I believe he made an impact that will last forever. I am grateful for all of the memories we have shared together. Ruben, you will truly be missed.
