It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Rosina (Rosie) Savoury, age 71, passed away peacefully with her beloved husband by her side on July 19th, 2021. Rosie is survived by her husband of 50 years Eric, three children Nicole, Lisa (Godfrey), Michael (Ayan), her cherished grandchildren Jade, Maia, Ashton, Malik, Grace and Safia, and her sisters Linda James (Barbados) and June Jordan (USA). Rosie is predeceased by her mother Daphne, her father Valdemar and her sister Peggy.

Rosie was born in Christ Church, Barbados where she met and married the love of her life Eric. She worked at Citibank for years before emigrating with her family to Canada in July 1981. Rosie was a proud banker and soon found her way to RBC where she started as a teller and worked her way up to Manager of Executive Dining Services until she retired in 2009.

Rosie loved the Lord, her family and her friends, if you were her friend you were family. She was joyous, fun loving, generous and kind. She loved to laugh and dance and had a contagious smile. Rosie loved to travel and would always make time to cheer her grandkids on at their many activities.

Rosie was a bright light in the world, she lived each day to the fullest and she will be dearly missed.

Due to COVID restrictions please contact the family to make arrangements to attend the visitation and/or the funeral.

Visitation to be held on Thursday July 29, 2021 3:30p.m.-6:30p.m. by appointment only. Private visitation will be held on July 30, 2021 starting at 1:00 p.m. with funeral service and reception to follow.
