It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce that our beloved Matriarch Rosa Orsini (nee Angelini) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 at Trillium Hospital at the age of 88.

Mom was a deeply devoted, loyal and caring wife to Umberto (predeceased April 2010). She is now reunited with the love of her life of 52 years. Their love was the definition of devotion to each other and their family.

Loving mother to John (Nella), Anna, Lucy and Carol (John) Grilli, extremely proud Nonna to Robert, Julia and Thomas. Sadly missed by her grand pups.

She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.

Rosa was born in Rome, Italy and grew up in the village of Colloto, Ascoli Piceno, Le Marche. She docked at Halifax Pier 21 on Feb 12th, 1958 and married Umberto on March 8th, 1958.

Mom gave us life and nurtured us to adulthood. She showed us how to love and overcome our life challenges. Mom made us strong when we were feeling weak and forever lifted our spirits when we were down.

Rosa adored her three grandchildren and she never seemed to get enough of them.

She was very proud of her garden and flowers.

A heartfelt Thank You goes to the wonderful doctors and nurses of CCU at Trillium Hospital and in particular to Dr. Manigi and Dr. Nagi.

Thank you to all our friends and family for your incredible outpouring of help and support.

Due to the current restrictions, a private family service will be held.

Entombment will take place at Glen Oaks Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.
