In Celebration of

Ronaldo Bernardo Cruz Mariano

August 20, 1934 -  August 13, 2025

Ronaldo Bernardo Cruz Mariano — known as “Ron” to his friends, “Boy” to his family, and “Grandpa” or “Lolo” to his beloved grandchildren — passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, just one week shy of his 91st birthday.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Mildred, son Ron Jr., grandson Devon, Grace, Daniel, Angel, Lisa, and his sister Merlinda “Baby” and her family.

Born in Pampanga, Philippines, then emigrated to Canada in 1970, he enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in finance as a controller, working with passion and dedication until his retirement at the remarkable age of 78. An avid golfer, Ron also devoted countless hours to volunteering at his church, and at the local hospital. He was a gifted storyteller, a confident and engaging speaker, and a natural comedian whose humor brightened every room.

He will truly be missed by his family, all his extended family, and all his ME15 family and friends. Ron’s life was a testament to faith, service, and joy. His kindness, generosity, and laughter will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
