In Celebration of

Ron Pilecki

June 7, 1954 -  February 3, 2020

Ron passed away on February 3, 2020. Dear son of the late Alexander and late Katherina Pilecki. Beloved brother of Steve and his wife Deborah. Loving uncle to Nik, Matt and Lana. Great-uncle to Nolan and Oliver. Ron will be remembered by his many friends including Edward and Peter and the entire Bloor West Village community. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph's Health Centre for all their care and kindness.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 2 – 4 p.m.

Ron Loved Life
The joy he had from the world around him sustained him through all life’s hardships

“I’m OK” (… always)
We never heard him complain; only cheery talk.
He had many friends because he loved people and enjoyed making new acquaintances.
Ron’s life was enriched by his poor capacity to judge or distrust or hate.
Ron helped anyone whenever he could. It made him feel better.
Ron didn’t need much to be happy himself.
We miss this good gentle soul.
Remember the good times. He will feel it.
Love each other.
Love Life.

I always enjoyed seeing Ron and Ed at the movie screenings at the Runnymede and Brentwood libraries and to hear about all the cultural events they had attended. I would bump into Ed at St. Joe’s from time to time and he would update me on Ron’s condition. I was saddened by the latest news. May he Rest in Peace.

I will miss Ron. He was such a gentle soul. So kind. My dad was his doctor for many many years and we would always talk when he came in unannounced. When my dad passed away, I know he would always be checking up on me if I found a new job and wherever I would end up, he would follow he said. Turns out I followed him and was excited to see a fellow patient but I'm sad I never got to see him working for his new doctor. Ron will be missed but I'm sure he's smiling down cause he found his ukie Doctor to talk too. Rest in peace Ron xoxo
