Roger Edward Reynolds
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Edward Reynolds on September 24, 2014 at the age of 78. Roger was born in Denver and received an A.B. and Ph.D. at Harvard as well as a J.D. at University of Chicago Law School. In 1968 he came to Canada to teach Medieval History at Carleton University and then went on to be a Senior Fellow at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies at the University of Toronto. Roger was a prolific academic who continued to travel, research and publish until his last days. He was very proud of his entire family, children, Michele, Persis, Nathan and Caleb, grandchildren, Lia, Megan, Jillian and Samuel, and his sister and brothers, Todd, Mitchell and Noel. He will be greatly missed by all, but especially by his devoted wife, Luba. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Thomas’s Anglican Church, 383 Huron St., Toronto on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
