Being in Vancouver, I was shocked to hear of Rick's passing. The memories that come immediately to mind, aside from work and the financial markets, are a couple of evenings spent at his beautiful home overlooking the lake and talking baseball and the Blue Jays who have lost one of their most ardent fans. My condolences to his family and many friends who I know will miss him as I will.

Rick was a dear friend to Anthony and I. He was such a huge support to us both when Anthony was going through his cancer treatments. Rick was always supportive and encouraging as well as a wealth of knowledge. He gave me so much comfort during that time, I can not express how much that meant to me. He was often the person I turned to for help with anything concerning work or personal for that matter. Rick was a loyal and generous friend. He was the best cheerleader and always wanted the best for those around him. He was selfless, thoughtful and would always put others before him.

I learnt a great deal from Rick and what really struck me, what always impressed me and what I will always hold dear is that no matter what life throws your way, no matter how hard things get hold your head up high and keep pressing on. His strength and kindness is something I will always admire. He was such a wonderful person and I am so lucky to have been able to call him my friend and I will miss him dearly.

Thank you Rick for always being there for me and helping me get through some of the most difficult times in my life. Like I would always say "you're the best" xo

So sorry for your loss. The children are a lasting legacy. Their brilliance, humor, talent and kindness will bring light to the world and to the Kennedy name.
