In Celebration of

Richard Cecil Wayne Dybvig

July 9, 1950 -  October 31, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Rick Dybvig announce his sudden passing at the age of 70, on Saturday, October 31, 2020 while in hospital, following major surgery. Rick was a loving son, best friend and companion to his mother Annie May Adamson. Rick was predeceased by his father Chester Dybvig, his stepfather John Adamson and his brother Norm Dybvig. Rick will be missed by his sister-in-law Deb Gilbert (Dan), his nephews Adam Dybvig-Kerr, Daniel Kerr (Crystal), Michael Kerr (Meagan), his nieces Heather Morrison (Scott), Lindsay Kerr (Mike) and all his great nieces and nephews.

Rick lived most of his life in Mississauga. He graduated from Sheridan College in business, he then went on and attained his CPA/CMA designations. He worked in the financial field throughout his career, most recently with YOUTHLINK as the Director of Finance and Administration. Rick has made many dear friends throughout his years resulting from his passion for his work, curling and golf.

A private family service will be held at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rick Dybvig’s name may be made to YOUTHLINK on their website Youthlink.ca/donate.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Toronto General Hospital for their care and compassion.

I'm heartbroken. Rick was a champion of the Tyler McGill music program and such a great man. Always thoughtful and generous.
My thoughts and prayers go to his family and close friends, I will miss him.
