Rev. Eugene Bugala

December 18, 1929 - August 20, 2017

Reverend Eugene Bugala died peacefully on August 20, 2017, in his 88th year and 43rd year of priesthood.

Father Bugala was born on December 18, 1929, in Zamoscie-Kolonia, Poland. He was ordained to the priesthood on September 14, 1974, by Bishop G. Emmett Carter at St. Peter’s Cathedral in London and retired on June 30, 2007. In 2007, he moved permanently to Etobicoke, Ontario.

Father Bugala ministered at St. Simon and St. Jude, Belle River (1974-1975); Sacred Heart, Sarnia (1975-1981); Blessed Sacrament, Chatham (1981-1983); Our Lady of Victory Polish Catholic Community, Chatham (1983-1991); and St. Joseph, Sarnia (1994-2007).

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. as well as Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 9-10 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Assumption Catholic Cemetery. On-line condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca
