In Celebration of

Renaud Doyon

August 4, 1942 -  October 18, 2019

Passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Loving father to Francois (Catherine). Loving and cherished Grandpa (papi) to Alexandre and Sophie. Renaud was predeceased by Yolande, the mother of Francois. Renaud was the son of Louis Leo and Madeleine Renaud.
Born in Quebec City, Renaud grew up in Rimouski, 300 kms north of Quebec City. He graduated from Laval University with a degree in Actuarial Science. He worked in his field for many years in Montreal and eventually in Toronto until the late 80’s where he ventured into the world of whirlpools as a business owner of Broadway Whirlpools.
Once retired, he enjoyed golf, going to the casinos and many trips to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic where he would improve his Spanish and tan. He would enjoy taking walks at night that would sometimes end up at the local casino. Renaud was known for spending an entire vacation around the pool and the beach but not getting his bathing suit wet.
Renaud enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Alexandre and Sophie and watching their various accomplishments with pride.
Friends and family may call at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto (at Windermere, east of Bloor and Jane) on Friday October 25 from 6-8 pm. A private family service will be held on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
We love you and we’ll miss you papi.

Vraiment désolé d’apprendre le décès de Renaud. Je me rappelle de plusieurs très belles soirées au Bedford avec Renaud. Nous nous partagions un club sandwich avec pain lightly toasted 😊
Mes sympathies à toute la famille.
