In Celebration of

Reginald Gordon Ingram

October 29, 1930 -  June 26, 2023

Peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Monday June 26, 2023 in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Catherine (nee Kelly) of 59 years. Loving father of Steven and cherished and devoted grandfather of Kelly. Predeceased by his sons Sean and Mark. He will be dearly missed by extended family and friends in Canada and the United Kingdom.

Gordon had a very rewarding career in the telecommunications industry, first in the United Kingdom then, coming to Canada in 1963 to work in the Canadian Arctic on radar installations. He last worked for Teleglobe Canada, Canada’s overseas telecommunications carrier. Throughout his career he was called upon by many as a result of his vast and diversified experience. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering and continuing to explore his passion for math, science and, of course, cribbage.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Friday, July 07, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. with interment of cremated remains to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.

For those who wish, donations in Reginald’s name can be made to Dorothy Ley Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.

We are saddened by the news of your Dad’s passing. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of spending time with him. Rest assured that he is at peace and in a better place now. He is with his beloved, Catherine. Hold on to your happy memories and all the ways your Dad bought laughter to your life.

Steve,

I have so many warm thoughts about your Dad; but what I think I’ll remember most are two qualities that I saw often in him.

First, he was a kind man – and always thinking of others before himself. While these are oft-used words, I think that your Dad was selfless in a remarkable and truly inspirational way.

Second, my goodness, what a sense of humour he had. No visit to the house went without the telling of the latest joke and the sharing of lots of laughs! I will never forget his smile.

We all know he would want the very best for both you and Kelly. Take care my friend.
