In Celebration of

R. Patrick Shaw

February 8, 1937 -  January 9, 2022

R. Patrick Shaw passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice (Leschinsky), his children, Robert (Julie) and Denise (Bill), and grandchildren, Eric, Leah, Christopher, Natalie, Alexander, and Thomas.
His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and his family was a central focus and sense of joy for him. Those who knew Patrick were aware of his devotion to faith, family, and fairways being a great fan of golf. He had a particular devotion to our Mother of Perpetual Help and wanted to share this by donating icon paintings to the churches he attended. He had a love of music and movies, especially old war movies that he and his son would share late nights watching reruns. He captured his life and that of his family through pictures with the family picture being the highlight of any gathering, especially with him trying to jump into the photo before the timer expired.
Patrick worked all his life in sales and marketing. In his retirement, he was able to conquer the computer and used technology as another way of capturing the memories of his family as well as his love of gardens and flowers.
He enjoyed a glass of good wine and was always happiest when celebrating events with his children and grandchildren.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel (905 828-8000). Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca
