In Celebration of

Peter Plucas

October 14, 1952 -  February 19, 2026

With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of Peter Plucas on February 19, 2026, at the age of 73.

Peter met the love of his life, Maura, 52 years ago on her very first night out in Canada. From that moment on, their lives were forever intertwined. They shared 48 wonderful years of marriage built on devotion, partnership, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Their love story was one of steadfast companionship through every season of life.

He was a loving father to his daughters, Michelle and Tina, and son-in-law Richard. Nothing brought Peter more pride than his family. He will be deeply missed by them all.

Peter was a cherished Opa to his beloved granddaughter Klara and grandson Tristan. He treasured his role as Opa and took great joy in the time he spent with them. They will dearly miss his presence, stories, and love.

He was predeceased by his parents, Stasys and Klara, as well as his siblings Vanda, Heiko, Jonas, Vytas, Longina, and Irene. He is survived by his loving sisters Aldona (Steve), Muschi (Brett), and Valli (Jim), and their families, who will remember him with affection and warmth.

Peter endured a difficult year, and while his loss is deeply felt, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace. Throughout this past year, Maura cared for him with extraordinary strength, devotion, and love — a testament to the life they built together. She will miss him beyond words.

Peter will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his quiet strength, and the deep love he carried for those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

Maura, Michelle, Tina and families. I am so sorry and sad to hear this news of Peter’s passing. Peter was our first and only tenant. I remember a very young Peter moving into our parents’ first home, a basement apartment, and Maura soon joining, and then the baby girls who I couldn’t get enough of, joining us one by one. May Peter rest in eternal peace. I have fond memories of Peter’s and Maura’s young family and somehow hoped to see you all one day again. May Peter’s memory be eternal. I was at the funeral home this afternoon for another viewing and I actually remembered Peter today as we drove by where Peter used to work. I didn’t know this sad news yet. May wonderful memories of Peter comfort you during these sad times. I would love to hear from you whenever you are up to it. Sending you all virtual hugs of comfort.
