Peter was one of the first visionaries to see Toronto's potential as a leading film production centre. He put his money where his mouth was, and was a tireless advocate for our film infrastructure. I considered him one of my mentors in the business when I became Toronto's Film Commissioner. Hats off to you Peter. My condolences to the family.
I’ had the pleasure to know Peter for over 30 years
A stand-up gentleman, I always enjoyed his good story with a laugh and his sound advice… Eternal memories to you, Peter Lukas

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing. As a close friend and fishing buddy of my father Louis, Peter was there to support him when his wife Pat passed away in July 2014. Peter told fishing stories, recalling 40 years of trips to the Rollo Lake, Foleyet and Hogsback area. Light hearted, interactive and jovial throughout, Peter lightened the burden on our hearts. Riding shotgun in his home made dune buggy, pictures of Peter forever adorn our cottage wall, he was a great outdoor adventurer. Please accept our condolences. My fathers limited mobility at this time does not make it possible for him to attend the funeral events. Greg Normandeau
A respected businessman, visionary and a true character. He was a champion of the Toronto film industry and especially the commercial film community. He was always appreciated and will be greatly missed.
We are all so sad about the passing of our great supporter and friend. Peter was always a welcome sight, coming down the hall for a visit in our production offices at Showline. He loved his studio..I remember a couple of years ago when we had a leak in 14K and up he climbed onto the roof to take a look! I always enjoyed visiting Peter in his office, as well... the memorabilia on the walls, lots of great stories from his childhood, through his first studio purchases with his partner Murray, stories of his fishing trips, and always a joke with a twinkle in his eye. And the pickles! He will be very much missed by all of us.
