In Celebration of

Peter Frank Griggs

Beloved husband to Sharon, died on October 30, 2017 at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga after a well fought, courageous battle with COPD. Peter loved and was loved by his children Jennifer (Carl) and Laura (James) and was a proud grandpa (PG) to Logan, Jacob, Megan and Lucas. Survived by his brother Tom (Judy) and brother and sisters in law Bill (Jackie) and Wendy, Pete will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Fiercely loyal to his family, Peter lived life on his terms, never afraid to tell it as it is and always striving to live life to the fullest since we are here for a “good time, not a long time”. He was happiest when he was making music, playing with animals, travelling and sneaking sweets. He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humour, strong opinions and generous nature, including his willingness to help anyone in need.

As per Peter’s wishes, a funeral will not be held. In remembrance of his life, please hug the people you love, undertake random acts of kindness and celebrate him in your memories. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Peter’s Anglican Church in Mississauga, Heart House Hospice or a charity dear to your heart.

So sorry to hear the news of Pete's passing. He was a great guy and the obit describes him to a tee. I'm so glad we took the time to take a spin in the '57 Chevy one beautiful Sunday morning and that will always be my fondest memory of Pete. Take Care, God Bless and we will certainly have Pete in our prayers.

As the notice says Peter was his own man who was fiercely loyal to his friends and family. In business we was a true professional but in life you couldn't find a better friend. He always said to me he was so lucky to find a life long partner in his beloved wife Sharon. Together they showed everyone what love is meant to be. He'll be missed by all of us but don't worry Pete, we'll take care of Sharon.
