<div itemprop="description">Age 69, of Toronto, Ontario passed after an 18 year battle with cancer, in comfort at the Dorothy Ley Hospice. Born August 4, 1943 in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Pete was always proud and reminiscent of his Cape Breton heritage. He moved to Toronto in his late teens and was almost immediately hired on at Molson's Breweries. In Toronto, he met the first love of his life, another Maritimer - Audrey Marie Godin - and they were married on November 11, 1971. After Audrey's passing in 1991, Peter loved again - Marilyn Anne Timmons (nee - Paine) - and was married October 15, 1994. He will be truly missed by his loving children Shannon West and her husband, Roy of Hamilton ON, and his son, Steven Coady of Toronto ON. He will always be remembered for having a huge part of his heart for his Step-Children Doug Timmons and his wife, Andrea; Carilyn Hill; and Harvey Timmons and his wife, Anita. Loving grandfather / Bubba of David, Matthew, Jessica, Cole, Brian, Brianna, Sean, Michael, Kiera, Andrew and Marissa. Great-Grandfather to Bently. Survived by his brother, Michael &quot;Mick&quot; Coady of New Waterford NS, and sisters Susan MacInnis of Port Hood NS, and Shannon McDonald (Blair) of Halifax NS. He is the loving uncle to 7 Nieces and Nephews. Friends may call at the Turner &amp; Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. James Catholic Church, 728 Annette St, Toronto, on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10 am. Cremation to follow. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.</div>
