In Celebration of

Peter Adam Maleszyk

June 28, 1948 -  October 31, 2021

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of our beloved husband, father, and uncle: on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Site, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Halina whom he fondly called Tweety, and father to Greg and Daniel.

Born in Ostrow Lubeski, he immigrated to Canada in 1963 together with his parents, older sister Anna and twin sister Teresa. He lost his brother Marian in 2019.

He was loved by everyone: with his contagious smile you were immediately drawn to talk to him. He was a great conversationalist and story teller. He was passionate about his favourite band The Rolling Stones, and his extensive collection of classic rock was impeccably organized, always ready to show off. He enjoyed life and valued his family. He was such a gracious host, always welcoming everyone into the family home. He hosted many holiday dinners, which were spent reminiscing and Christmas always included a sing along of carols.

As the ultimate grill master, he started the process with carefully selecting meats and then patiently executed his masterpiece prior to serving to his guests. He was highly skilled with his hands; he maintained a beautiful garden, and was The Mr. Fix It around the house.

Peter, together with his wife and extensive circle of family and friends, travelled the world. He enjoyed exploring new cultures and admired the most intricate places and customs. His love of sailing was fulfilled with a special trip to the Virgin Islands where he completed a Navigational sailing course.

In his professional life, he worked for MacDonnell Douglas, Spar Aerospace, and DeHavilland where he developed his passion for aviation. Peter retired from DeHavilland in 2009 where he was a Development Mechanic for 34 years. He made lifelong bonds with those whom he worked with and maintained contact with after retirement.

A visitation will be held at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. (N. of the QEW) on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 6-8pm and Thursday November 4, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8pm.
