In Celebration of

Paula Jeanne Cole

September 12, 1951 -  August 8, 2019

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanne, who passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at her home in Mississauga, on August 8th, 2019, at the age of 67 years. Loving mother of Gillian, Jackie, Susan, Chris and his wife Janis, Andrea and her husband Adam, and Nick and his wife Stella. Cherished grandmother (Grammy/Mimi/Grandma Jeanne) to Maria, Colin, Phoenix, Sydney, Taylor, Ethan, Dylan, Alex, Eva, Maya, and Emily. Dear sister of Tim, Mark, Jeff, Julie, and predeceased by beloved brother Rick and parents Maurice and Eva. Jeanne will be lovingly remembered and missed by ex-husband Geoff and many other family members and friends.

Jeanne lived an interesting and full life, living across Ontario in Almonte, Leamington, Belleville, and Point Anne. In her twenties, she moved to Lusaka, Zambia with her parents and siblings. While in Zambia, Jeanne married Geoff and they had their first child together (Chris), before returning to Ontario where they had Nick and Andrea. Jeanne eventually made her home in Mississauga where she lived happily for 35 years.

Jeanne was a forever caring person, and offered motherly support and advice to many family and friends. Extremely compassionate and kind, helping anyone however she could. Jeanne also loved animals, caring for her own and finding loving homes for others.

Jeanne excelled at everything she put her mind to, and had a lifelong love for learning new things. She had a passion for baking and cake decorating, and was always more than happy to pass down her knowledge to anyone who wanted to learn. Her children have many fond memories of mom spending days and nights making cakes and other tasty treats.

While Jeanne loved spending time with others, she also loved the tranquility and solitude of being in nature. She passed on her love of the great outdoors and fishing to her children and grandchildren, and loved telling stories of the big ol’ bass she caught on the Bay of Quinte.

For those that wish, donations may be made to the Mississauga Humane Society in Jeanne’s memory.

It is not the things you do that people remember. It is the person you are. Jeanne was a cherished friend, and I will always remember our times together with laughter and smiles. She was a warm, generous and loving individual.i will always miss her dearly.

Jeanne was the kindest person I ever met. She was that aunt you could always turn to for advice or comfort or just chat. She brightened the world with her presence and will be remembered fondly, always.

Tim, Mark, Jeff, Julie and all Jeanne's Family, very sorry to hear of Jeanne's sudden passing. Sounds like she was a carbon copy of Eva (our second Mom growing up). Love Donna, David, Joanne, and Paul.

Jeanne, my first memory of you has always been how kind, welcoming and easy going you were in a house of small children, teenage step-daughters and my visits. Having had 2 children of my own, you were remarkable!

Whenever we met you always had an easy smile.

Condolences to your beautiful family you have left too soon.
