In Celebration of

Paul William Seubert

May 22, 1933 -  July 19, 2024

Sadly, Paul passed away in hospital with family by his side on Friday, July 19, 2024. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife Diane (Tkach) of 61 years of marriage, his children, Susan Strickland (Jim) and John Seubert (Lianne), his grand children, Alexandra and Samantha Strickland, Jacob and Lukas Seubert. Paul also leaves behind, his sister, Ruth (Seubert) Smart, nieces Kellie Zupet (Tom) and Kara Alloway (Graham) and their families, his many cousins in the greater Ottawa/Montreal areas, and throughout Canada and the USA.

Paul was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario to Jacob and Augustine (Kelly) Seubert. On graduation from Timmins High, he moved to Toronto and obtained his Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. After a couple of years working as a professional engineer, he returned to school and completed his MBA from the University of Western Ontario in London. Paul worked at Shell Oil and Polymer Corp, in Sarnia, and Dupont Canada, in Montreal and Mississauga. He was a part-time lecturer at McGill University during his tenure in Quebec. After retiring, he ran his own Marketing consultation business for 5 years. Paul was a member of the PROBUS Club of Mississauga South.

Paul enjoyed a variety of activities but primarily devoted his time to his family. He loved dogs and cats, playing bridge, keeping a pristine yard and was disciplined with exercising. International Marketing allowed for business travel to various destinations, including South America, the Caribbean, China, Japan and Europe. A pleasure trip in 1999-2000, took him around the world. Paul loved to tell stories of his travel adventures and truly enjoyed a life well-lived. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him and will be remembered for his gentleness and sense of humour.

A funeral mass is scheduled for August 23, 2024 at St Christopher’s Catholic Church, 1171 Clarkson Rd N, Mississauga, ON L5J 2W1 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. Internment at Springcreek Cemetery.

A special thank you to the staff at Agecare Wenleigh Long-term Care facility and the medical professionals at Credit Valley Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, The Canadian Institute for the Blind or Credit Valley Hospital.

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Mr. Seubert was such a kind and caring person. I remember him visiting John on a few occassions when the two of us lived together as students in Vancouver. Whether it was asking us about school or paddling, watching us play hockey (and doing such a nice job pretending he enjoyed watching us struggle to get up and down the ice), or just treating us to dinner at a restaurant, he was always such a calm and supportive voice. Our thoughts are with all of you at this most difficult time.

Dear Diane and family. I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing (Toronto Star). You were both such good friends to mom (Madeleine). I know that Paul has had many health challenges over the years. Wishing you all comfort and peace at the sorrowful time.

My sincere condolences Diane , and your family ,
Paul was such a joy to spend time with , loved hearing about his travels and his work career.
We talked about the blue jays , and his past family members, his children and so on ,
And I know he loved Diane with his heart & soul , he always expressed that Diane was his everything. He also mentioned his mother making the worst stew ever for dinner , I loved hearing about his wisdom and how he charmed the ladies back in his younger days before Diane .
Rest in peace Paul ❤️🙏❤️
