In Celebration of

Paul Edward Noble

March 6, 1949 -  November 17, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Noble, on November 17, 2024, at Toronto Western Hospital. Born on March 6, 1949, to Gordon and Winifred (Flanagan) Noble, Paul was predeceased by his mother and father, and his twin brother John. Adored father and father-in-law to Nicole, and Ryan. Cherished grandpa to Luca and Nico. Beloved brother to Mary, Gord, Anne Marie and sister-in-law Patty and much-loved uncle to Emily and Natalie. He will be dearly missed by us all, as well as our extended family and countless friends.

Paul attended St. Michael’s College School and played hockey there, as well as at the University of Toronto, where he was an English and History major. He became a teacher and that curiosity to teach and learn never left him. Paul loved history and world events, professional sports and music of all genres. He passed his love of these things and more on to his grandson Luca. He loved family above all, holding on despite facing health challenges over the last decade to give us more years that we will always cherish.

Friends and family may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Turner & Porter on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

For those who wish, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the MLSE Foundation.

Sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Paul. Paul and I met as teachers at Stella Maris in 1995 and we were friends since. We had many good times together along the way, with people such as Rob Kelly, Reno Perlin, Steve Peters, and many others.

He will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

God bless on the next leg of the journey Paul. May flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.

Paul, you'll be missed!

My sincere condolences to Nicole, Ryan (Luca and Nico, too), and Paul's brother and sisters.

Having worked with Paul, played basketball every Monday night for fifteen years, and often sharing a drink with him and his friends, it was a sad day to hear of his passing. He was a man who loved life and was happiest being around others.

After a massive health scare five years ago at basketball, I am so happy that he got the chance to be the proudest grandfather around! He never missed a chance to brag about Luca's accomplishments.

Rest in peace.
Charles

I first had the pleasure of meeting Paul at St. Michael’s College, U of T, back in 1970. Our friendship continued in 1975 as elementary teachers at the same school for another 9 years. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Paul was a very outgoing and venturous spirit and I always enjoyed his company and views on everything. It was so comforting to be around him and experience his infectious sense of humor and perspective on all things.
I always looked forward to being in his company over all those years and enjoyed his good humour pertaining to all aspects of life.
I will truly miss his presence and I offer my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family.
