On the afternoon of March 20, 2024, Paul Dalinda had passed away peacefully at the age of 100.
Having suffered from dementia for over 7-years, Paul’s long goodbye has come to an end.
Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. A true gentleman, he was always there for his family and for his community as an altruistic example in helping others.
An engineer by trade, he had built many homes in Swansea Village. From Riverside Crescent to Ellis Park, those homes still stand in his honour. Later, he had travelled the world designing equipment for the mining industry. In the family, Paul was known as “Mr. Fix It”, as he could fix anything from cars to plumbing and electrical.
Paul had been preceded in death by his beloved wife, Valentina Dalinda, in 1999.
Paul is survived by his three children, Daiva, Tom (Sharon), and Andrew (Loretta), his grandchildren, Luke (Valentina), Aurelia (Josh), Matthew (Jessica), Eric, Daniel (Rina), and Alyssa (Connor), and his great grandchildren, Liam, Keira, Asta, Lola, and Robyn.
