In Celebration of

Patrick Joseph Goodrow

February 15, 1954 -  September 25, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Joseph Lawrence Goodrow, born on February 15, 1954, in Hamilton, Ontario and passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2023, in Mississauga, Ontario.

He was a loving companion of Donna Morgan, former husband of Jackie Goodrow, and a devoted father to his daughters Anne Goodrow (Jason), Dr. Meghan Goodrow (Logan), and Cristin Goodrow. He was also a proud grandfather to Brinton, McKye, Taylor and Skylar. Patrick was pre-deceased by his parents George Goodrow and Norma Wilshire (nee Conway). He is survived by his brothers Mike Goodrow (Sue), John Goodrow (Janice), his sister Joanne Alexander (Jim), nieces Martha Goodrow, Hilary Goodrow, and Marie Alexander (Vince), his nephew Barclay Goodrow (Madison) and step-nephew Brandon Rae. Pre-deceased by his niece Jacqueline Goodrow, step-niece Lisa Wuohela, and his nephew Tim Goodrow. He also will be missed by many Goodrow cousins.

Patrick was a wonderful man who always had the biggest personality in the room. He was the first to greet you with a warm bear hug and a smile. Patrick was a man of many stories and jokes, and he had a special talent of being able to make everyone around him laugh. He had a positive outlook on life and was always willing to lend an ear and a helping hand.

Patrick was a graduate of St. Lawrence College in Kingston, where he earned the title of Arm-Wrestling Champion, amongst other "social" titles. He was a successful entrepreneur, having owned and grown T-Goods Sportswear Ltd. He fondly spoke of his days in Normandale, a place that carried a lot of history, memories, and loving friendships. Many winters were spent enjoying the warmth of sunny Florida, taking advantage of a Christmas day swim. He also delighted in spreading Christmas cheer donning Santa’s red suit. He took immense pride in his home, ensuring that his lawn and his neighbours' lawns were always immaculate.

Other passions included his red convertible Mustang, boating, baseball, spending time with his grandchildren, conversations over a warm cup of coffee, and challenging his family to a daily game of wordle. Patrick was a music lover and could be found singing along to the oldies, with a special affinity for the late, great Elvis.

We will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patrick’s memory to a charity of your choice.

Patrick was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and companion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Online condolences may be made through this website.

Pat was such a great person! You could always count on his sense of humour, sense of mischievousness, and his sense of humanity. He was a kind, hardworking man who loved life. What a blessing it was to have known him. My condolences to the family. Xo

So sorry for your loss. I would always ride my bike up Haig and find him out doing lawn work. We would quite often reminisce about when we were kids, living on Gardenviee Drive. Pat would always say “give my best to your Mom and Dad!” (Geordie and Helen Tapp).
Pat had a big heart and he will be missed.

Pat, I will always miss our cottage chats at my picnic table and waving at each other when you were doing work on top of the hill. You were always working away at that cottage! You were an easy going, humble person and I'm glad that I got to meet you in this life. Rest peacefully my friend xo

So sorry to hear about the loss of Pat. I first met Pat in the early days of the Magic Of Metals charity work. He always brought zest and joy to the meetings and showed great enthusiasm when working the floor at the golf event charity auction. Our thoughts are with family and friends.

Rick and Joanne Owens.
