Pat will be remembered with love and admiration always. She was a best friend and role model and we’ll miss her terribly.
Dear Bill,
My sincerest condolences on the passing of your dear wife Pat. When I heard the news, some memories came flooding back to me. I first met you and Pat at 68 Beaver Ridge when I was a young man dating my future wife, Shirley Ferguson. When we met that day I was struck by the energy, curiosity, and kindness that emanated from Pat and by your strength and gentle nature. Most of all, I was impressed by the obvious love, respect, and affection you had for each other.
I have this belief that each of us can be shaped and influenced by those we encounter throughout our lives, no matter how brief or intermittent those moments might be. I distinctly remember thinking to myself “this is the kind of man I wish to become” and “this is the kind of relationship and love I want to create”. Both of you have been an inspiration to those you have met on the journey of life. Both of you have made a difference.
May your enduring faith and the love of your family sustain you in the weeks and months to come.
Jeff Singer
P.S. I also remember that you and Pat could be pretty wild dancers as demonstrated at Jim Ferguson’s wedding in Kingston.
Bill, Allen, Nancy, Leslie, Karen and families ....
I was so sorry to hear about Pat and hope that you are all doing ok! I have so many fond memories of Pat ...from the Castlefield days and trips to the beach in Maine and our properties at Brome Lake! Pat was like a second mother to me during the first 10 years of my life and I remember she took me in when I ran away from home!
Hugs ...Shirley xo
