It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of our dearest Orfelinda (Orfy) Saldanha at the age of 97 years surrounded by family. Beloved wife of the late Alec Saldanha . Loving mother of Desmond (Carole), Colin (Sheila) and Oswald (Norma). Devoted grandmother of Lindsey, Loriann, Diane (Ryan), Warren, Jason and Russell. Great-grandmother to William. She was a devoted and selfless mother and grandmother, and the heart and soul of her family. The family would like to thank Dr. Pam Gill, Dr. Linda Deppisch and the staff of Silverthorne Nursing Home for all of their excellent care and support over the years. Family and friends will be received at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N. of the QEW) on Friday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church- Streetsville, 5440 Durie Road, Mississauga on Saturday July 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery.
