So sorry to hear of Norma's death. We have fond memories or her from our days at Royal York Rd United Church. We remember her lovingly. As Thomas Moore wrote,
"Long long may my heart with such memories filled,
Like a vase in which roses once were distilled.
You may break, you may shatter that vase, if you will,
But the scent of the roses will hang round it still."
The scent of Norma's life will hang around ours for a long time.
I knew Norma through the Richard III Society of Canada where she was indeed a staunch member. It didn't matter how far away the Sunday afternoon meeting might be, she took the public transit there and back, sometimes spending longer travelling than the meeting itself took. But she seldom missed a meeting. When she decided to sell her house, I was not at all surprised that she waited till she could get a 2 bedroom apartment. She had so many interests! Her unfailing good cheer was a delight and always made the day brighter. She is greatly missed.
Norma’s boundless enthusiasm and love of life carried her well into her 90th decade. She was part of our family for the last three decades and will be dearly missed by the Goodmans.
A very lovely lady, always liked the conversation we had.
Heartly Condolences to the family and friends.
May her soul rest in Peace
