Nina was born in Detroit Michigan on April 15, 1954. At the age of 4 her father Tadeusz Bielawski and mother, Wanda Stankiewicz, both of Polish heritage, moved the family to Denver Colorado where she began her piano studies at the age of 8. Quickly becoming proficient and exhibiting an extraordinary talent she honed her skills on her beloved Steinway baby grand bestowed by her parents.

As a student Nina performed with the Denver Symphony Orchestra. In 1969 the Bielawski family moved to Dix Hills, New York, on Long Island. In her high school years Nina was accepted into the pre- college division of The Juilliard School of the Arts and also performed with the Long Island Symphony Orchestra. Upon graduation from Half Hollow Hills High School in Dix Hills, NY in 1972. Nina attended the University of Toronto, Faculty of Music, and attained a Bachelor of Music (Performance) and holds an ARCT (Performance) from the Royal Conservatory of Music where she adjudicated at music festivals and was an examiner.

Nina met her husband Saverio Schipani in Toronto, and raised her beloved family including Thaddeus (Ted), Domenic (Nick) and Edward (Ed) Schipani and spouse Colleen Schipani. Nina leaves her granddaughters, her “little flowers”, Daniella, Olivia, Charlotte and Beatrice. She leaves her beloved sister, Ramona Bielawski (Romi) and beloved brother Robert Bielawski (Bolus).

Nina never forgot her music and taught piano and theoretical subjects to her children as well as a constant flow of students from her home and music schools.

Nina is now performing in heaven. Her beauty has left it’s mark on many in her realm. She is loved beyond any written words and will be missed but never gone from our hearts.
