April 7, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nicola (Nick) Perrotta. He passed away peacefully in Mississauga with his loving family by his side on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of Mary for 55 years. Dedicated father to Anthony, Matthew (Sandra), Angela (Emidio) and the late Suzanne. Cherished grandfather to Nicholas, Maria, Joseph, Michael, Jessica and Carina. Nick will also be remembered as a loving brother-in-law to Connie (late Neil Lister), Pat (Linda) and uncle to the late Brent Lister. He will be greatly missed by his many cousins and close friends.
Nick was born in Molise, Italy to the late Concetta and Antonio Perrotta. He immigrated with his mother to Canada to join his father in Toronto where he studied at York University to become an elementary school teacher, a profession he held for 33 years. He had a deep appreciation for sports, including soccer and hockey and was an avid tennis player in his younger years. He followed his favorite teams with unwavering dedication, cheering them on with pride. In his spare time, Nick could be seen reading the newspaper, solving puzzles and spending time outdoors in his garden. But most importantly, Nick was a devoted family man. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. Nick will be remembered for his love for his family, his thirst for knowledge and his dedication to his students. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the memories shared with him will be cherished forever. Nick will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
