Peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at the age of 65. My beloved husband Nick has left this world and for all who loved him so dearly it will be forever changed. He made an indelible mark on so many lives by the way he lived his own; with integrity, humility, compassion, loyalty and courage. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, papa and friend. Nick had a brilliant sense of humour which helped to see us through even the darkest days. He adored his four little grandchildren and cherished the time he had with them. He was an amazing hockey player and coach. He enjoyed reading his paper with a cup of tea in the morning, listening to his music, and sitting in the spa with a shot of J.D. at night. He loved his garden in the warm weather and St. Pete’s in the cold. He treasured all his wonderful friends. But most of all he loved his family who will forever keep Nick’s incredible spirit alive in our hearts; his parents Gerald and Gwyneth; his wife, Colleen; children, Andrew (Rachel), Christie (Scott); grandchildren, Zoe, Ava, Luella and Logan; siblings, Jill (Ian) Paul (Sandra) , Janet (Dave); nieces and nephews, Michael, Alana, Cam, Alex, Laura & Nicole; brother-in-law Jim (Dolores) and sister-in-law Jackie (Lorraine).

“A long life may not be long enough But a good life usually is.” Nick had a very good life.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy) on Monday from 5-9 p.m. A Celebration of Nick’s life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at 4 p.m. with visititation one hour prior. If desired, remembrances may be made to Credit Valley Hospital-Oncology.
