Nelson, you were the nicest, most kind, happy, friendly person we have ever known. You always greeted us with open arms and a smile, whether it was having us over and cooking the most fabulous meal, encouraging me (Meghan) through tough times at work, texting us often to say Happy Birthday, congrats on grandchildren, to cheer on the Maple Leafs, or meeting us in the middle of a pandemic to deliver us baby clothes for our grandsons. You were one of a kind, the kind of friend everyone wishes they had. We will miss you dearly. We love you and will always cherish every moment we ever spent with you.
Karen, Jenny, Chrissy and Bentley, find strength in the memories you have of Nelson, in the love he had for each of you, he made that apparent in every way and every time he spoke of you. You are truly lucky to have had this wonderful man in your lives. We are so very sorry for this loss that you are experiencing, it is so not fair. We are sending our love and support to you all during this devastating time.
Sending heartfelt condolences to the DeMelo family during this time. May God bless and keep you all.
To the De Melo Family
We are so sorry for your loss. Nelson was such a great guy and good friend. He will be deeply missed. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.
Sending our condolences, thoughts and love to you all. I'm in disbelief. So many childhood memories I have of our families together. Time passes we grow up, move away, and thing we will all run into eachother again, then something as tragic as this happens. I'm sincerely wishing you all solace and comfort in time. Love the description of him written here. Exactly how I remembered him to be.
In my thoughts,
Lisa
I know heaven is a beautiful place because it’s got you💕 Thanks you for always making me laugh with your jokes. I will miss your hilarious commentaries while Jenny and I watch the bachelor/bachelorette. Thank you for opening your home to me with all the hugs and yummy food. I will miss your rice dishes that I would always hope you’d make every time I came over. Thank you for keeping me updated with the soccer games where Poland would loose. I hope your enjoying some Tyskie right now 🍻
You always teased saying you were my second favourite dad. And that you are ! You are missed and will not be forgotten. RIP Nel 🌹
