Nadia Murphy, born October 25, 1926, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, in her 100th year.
She shared 73 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gordan, who predeceased her in 2020. Together they built a life and a home in Clarkson Village, where they lived for 70 years, raising their son and creating a place filled with love and memories.
Nadia was a loving mother to her son Bruce (predeceased) and an adored mother-in-law to Janice Murphy, with whom she shared a close and meaningful bond. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nadia (children Keegan and Avery) and Jessica.
Throughout the years, Nadia formed deep and lasting friendships that spanned decades, and she cherished the many visits she shared with those friends, whether in her homes in Clarkson or Switzerland, or later at Parkland On The Glen.
In her later years at Parkland On The Glen, Nadia continued to live independently, remaining an active and valued member of her community. She was a woman of great pride, quick wit, and endless curiosity, with a deep love for art, music, travel, and, above all, nature. Nadia will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
In keeping with Nadia’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Those who wish to honour her memory may consider making a donation to Mississauga Humane Society or SickKids Hospital.
