While in Zagreb studying Rade liked to come visit us in Lepusiceva St in Zagreb, Croatia. He was interested to hear from my father Dusan Milijasevic about his experience working in Germany. I am quite sure he followed my fathers steps and worked in Germany in late 1960s for a short period perhaps a year, but eventually my father advised him to move to Canada as a more developing prosperous country. Rade valued my father’s opinion and moved to Windsor and got a job with GM in Detroit in early 1970s. He came back to Zagreb several times in the 80s while i was still in college. In summer of 1982 we met at the main square in Zagreb. I remember Rade wanted to give me a gift so he took me to the Duty Free shop nearby and bought me a carton of 10 packs of red Marlboro. That was quite a gift.
So sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you at the difficult time.
