In Celebration of

Miklos Gariscsak

October 10, 1963 -  November 7, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Miklos Gariscsak on Thursday November 7, 2024 at the age of 61. He was born in 1963 to Miklos Sr. and Magdolna in Toronto and was a beloved brother to Juliana & Raminder.

He was a dear husband to Anne, and a generous father to Stephanie and Peter. He was a wonderful uncle to Juliana & Marc, Alyssa & Bianca, Chanel, Alyssa &Walter, Zachary and their families. Separately, Mick had deep family roots outside of Canada, both in the United States and Hungary.

Mick grew up working with his hands: in his father’s machine shop, playing guitar, sketching, and he also took interest in soccer and martial arts. He studied at Ryerson University, before beginning his career in aerospace engineering. He was fortunate to work with many colleagues that he spoke fondly of, starting at Pratt-Whitney, and continuing on to Boeing - McDonnell Douglas before joining Bombardier Aerospace, which he stayed with for more than 30 years. He enjoyed the simple things in life - barbecuing, tinkering in the garage, and cold beer.

We invite family, friends and co-workers to celebrate his remarkable life at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W. Mississauga on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 10 am at St Elizabeth of Hungary Church (432 Sheppard Ave East, North York) with a reception to follow in the church hall.

The burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington, with immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Mick’s memory.
