Peacefully at home in Mississauga on May 28, 2025, in his 100th year.
Born in Lubartów, Poland, Mike immigrated to Canada as a child and went on to build a successful business and live a truly remarkable life. He was known for his dry humour, sharp wit, and unwavering work ethic — a man of deep determination and a steadfast commitment to provide for those he loved.
Mike's quiet strength and resilience carried him through life’s toughest challenges. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Frances Piorczynski of 75 years, and his cherished daughter, Marion Wickens.
His legacy lives on through his daughter, Sharon Anderson; his grandchildren, Jacquie Wickens (Mark), Spencer Anderson (Shannon), and Sydney Wickens; and his great-grandchildren, Zachary and Lillian, who brought great joy to his later years. Mike will be deeply missed by his extended family, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends — all of whom were touched by his humour, generosity, and steadfast character.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers whose compassion and support allowed Mike to maintain his independence with dignity.
