Born in Ukraine on September 15, 1922. Passed away January 1, 2017 in his 95th year. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Anna, and survived by daughters Irene Hallford (Ian), Christine Banks (Bruce) and Nina. Loving Grandfather to Michael Bonga (Susan), Scott Banks (Sarah), Lindsey Banks, Teressa Durgarsingh, Jennifer Basa, Megan Durgarsingh, Brandon Durgarsingh, Sandra Hallford and Anna Durgarsingh. Friends may call at Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto) Wednesday, January 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral (143 Franklin Ave, Toronto) on Thursday, January 5 at 10 a.m., followed by the interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery (1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville). Donations may be made to St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Mike will be remembered for his gentle humour, his never-failing love for his family, and his generous spirit and will to live.
