October 18, 1933 - March 30, 2018

Died peacefully on Friday, March 30, at the age of 84. Predeceased by his wife Diane, he will be dearly missed by his children Mark (Jennifer), Joanna (Navin) and Sarah (David) and his step-children Susan (Nicola) and John (Geoff). Cherished Grandad to Owen, Charlotte, Mae, Lily, Bruno, Harriet, Eve and Aila. Beloved big brother to John (Judith), late Ann (Frank), Robin (Hilda) and Janet (David), and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend deepest thanks to Lota Larita for her incredible care and devotion these past 5 years. A celebration of his life to be held on Friday April 20th at 3:00PM, at First Unitarian Church, 175 St. Clair Ave. W., followed by a reception.

I didn't meet Michael Polley until he played a most wonderful part in "Slings and Arrows" - singing, playing the piano, being joyful. And that's how he was on the few occasions I met him, with Sarah, after this. Kind, playful, warm, caring and very very thoughtful. I am so sorry for the loss to you all.

I was so sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I wish the family years of happy memories of their time with Michael. It is always difficult to lose a family member even if their final years were not the most productive. My love to everyone.
