Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time
Patti & family
I loved your parents ..... they were so kind to me way back in the day. Many years did pass by yet when I met them again it was if no time had passed by at all! Patti, you & I are very lucky, as when it comes to parents we each won the lottery of life. I am glad that Ed had you (Janet & Nancy too) to lean on through the years he spent alone. I'm sure it wasn't easy for him to show weakness, nor for you to witness his decline. He is at peace, and with the love of his life! I hope that over time, every now & then, coincidence speaks to you ..... these little signs are so comforting! God Bless. Love J
So sorry for your loss. Ed always had a great smile and so easy to talk to on our rare meetings. May you take comfort in your memories.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Try to remember the good times you shared as a family and not the illness that took your Dad. I am sorry I was unable to be with you during the period of mourning. Know that your Dad was loved and respected by our family and will be remembered always.
Love Betty, Susan and Stephen Moore
Dear Patty, Janet and Nancy,
Your father was always someone I admired and looked up to. Because our father, Bill, was not only Ed's older brother, but ended up as a father figure in Ed's early years, we always heard lots of stories about your father as we grew up. As we met your family and got to know Ed and Joan over the years, we developed a strong bond. I would usually call Ed 2 or 3 times per year just to seek his insights on world events, politics, finance and sports. His devotion to Joan was noble and his love for his daughters and grand-daughters was limitless.
He was kind enough to host Lisa and I as we stopped over in Toronto on our honeymoon. When we moved to Toronto in the late 1990's he was always there as someone to call or visit to connect to family. I'll always remember them joining us for Christopher's baptism in 1999. Ed was one of our tour guides, along with Owen, when I took Dad out to Ontario for a family reunion and a trip up north to see fabled Burk's Falls.
Because of his big heart and unwavering kindness and decency, he was someone who was trusted and loved. I will miss him greatly and I know he will leave a hole in your lives that will be impossible to fill.
We are thankful that we were lucky enough to know him and benefit from his wisdom.
Kindest regards,
Ben and Lisa Moore
