July 10, 1947 - July 16, 2018

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Dorothy Ley Hospice on July 16th, 2018 from an arduous battle with prostate cancer. Matt was a beloved husband of Rita, loving father of Maxine, Heidi, Dustin (Maya) and Laura. Dear grandfather of Esme and Hudson. Brother of John (Sandra). Uncle of Kristen, Caitlin, and Mackenzie. Friends may call at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto (East of the Jane subway), on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to Dorothy Ley Hospice or Prostate Cancer Canada.

Barb and I were saddened to hear of Matt's passing and extend to the family our sincere condolences. A solid teammate on the field and off, Matt was always reliable and dependable. Another treasure gone! Many great memories linger!
