Passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the age of 28. Beloved son of Todd Joanisse and Lydia Harris, Craig Johnson and his wife Madeline. Much loved brother of James, Caroline, Reinier and Ken. Loving grandson of Doreen Johnson and Suzanne Tremblay. Dear nephew of Tracey Johnson, Michael and Tanya Hyjek, Elaine Lay, Phil Comeau, and Cecilia Metrakos. Loved cousin to Hannah, Avery and Spencer Hyjek, Tabitha Metrakos, Mason and Spencer Piekkola. Cherished nephew of the late Ken Lundy.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel”, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5-9 PM. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 3 PM.

I first met Matt years ago at a backyard party my youngest daughter was hosting. Matt exuded charm, good energy and kindness. Over the last 15 years I would run into Matt and he never failed to put a smile on my face. The last time I saw Matt was in Whistler in 2018. My youngest daughter Marija was working a summer gig and Matt was also working there. My eldest daughter had travelled with me on that trip. Both my girls were friends with Matt. We invited him for dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant. Matt was so charming and entertaining during our meal. He had an energy about him that was infectious. To his family I extend my condolences. I can't imagine your pain. But remember this, Matt made a positive impression on all those that met him. May he rest peacefully. He will never be forgotten.
