In Celebration of

Maryann Faulkner (nee Miller)

April 26, 1947 -  August 17, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the recent passing of Maryann Faulkner, at the age of 75 after an 18 month battle with cancer.

Born to James Leroy “Archie” Miller and Mary (Heisler) Miller. Devoted wife to David for 43 years. Proud mother to James (Ruxandra) and Marc (Tatyana). Loving Nanny to granddaughters Ariya, Isla, and grandsons Luc, and Archer. Loving sister to Coralie, and her brother Reid. Aunt to nephews Adam, Alexander, and Andrew and nieces Roby, Joanne (deceased), Janice, and Serena.

Raised in the Port Credit area of Mississauga, and attended Gord Graydon Memorial high-school, Maryann often fondly talked of her childhood adventures with many friends throughout the years. Her passion for swimming led her to becoming the first female pool supervisor for the City Of Mississauga.

Maryann completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University Of Waterloo. She then went on to become one of the first female sales representatives for Scott Paper and later for Advantage Sales & Marketing, a lifelong career of 52 years. Maryann’s favourite part of her job was the ability to meet and interact with so many people on a daily basis. She genuinely enjoyed socializing whether at work or in her personal life. In her spare time, Maryann would be listening to the oldies and classical music, cuddled up with her beloved dogs, swimming laps at the local pool, plowing through another page-turning novel, taking off to the ski slopes or relaxing on the beach by the ocean. Maryann also enjoyed spending time with her four grandkids, they were her pride and joy. Even in the later stages of her illness she always lit up when her grand babies came around.

Maryann had a big unforgettable presence, she always knew how to light up a room and was the heart of the party. Her outgoing spirit and personality will be missed by those who knew and loved her. She kept in touch with a close group of friends; Dianna, Patsy, and Jennifer since they met in kindergarten. Over the years, they would get together for a semi-annual luncheon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 17, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Streetsville United Church.

Oh boy...we've lost a good one far too soon. Jim and I were so sad to hear of Maryann's passing. What fun we had at our many euchre nights and when out walking the dog, always enjoyed passing the time of day with her. Sending love and condolences to Dave, 'the boys' and their families. xx
