Peacefully at the Harold and Grace Baker Centre with her loving family surrounding her, Mom passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016, nine days shy of her 102 birthday. Finally, Mom is reunited with her beloved husband, Jim, who was taken from her fifty years ago. She was the proud and loving mother of Carole Cosburn (Richard) and Jim Thompson (Linda) and the cherished Gram of Stephen (Marla), Gordon (Stephanie), Philip (Rose), Richard (Susan), Caroline (Brent), Catherine (Jeffrey), Marianne and Christine; and Great Gram of William, Courtney, Alexandra, Charlie, Lauren, Molly, Madison, Paul, Charlotte and Ethan. A woman of faith, Mom had many friends and enjoyed a long, healthy productive life. Mom was an active member of Mystic Link (Humberview) Rebekah Lodge where she took on roles as Lodge Pianist, Chaplain, Treasurer, Vice Noble Grand and Noble Grand. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Baker Centre, especially Fay, Wendy, Gurvinder, Kay and Kareesha for their compassionate care they gave to Mom these last few weeks. Mom will be forever in our hearts. Friends may call at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W, Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Private Family Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the A.L.S. Society would be appreciated by the family.

We are very sorry Carol & Jim to read that your mother has passed away. What a beautiful long life she has lived. It has been a very long time since we were in touch & I would love to connect with you Carol. Such wonderful memories we share as young adults. I remember your parents very well. Our mother (Grace Timpson) passed away in 1997 & our father (Frank Timpson) in 2002. Our thoughts are with you now. I hope to hear from you when you are settled and feel ready to correspond.
