In Celebration of

Mary Miller (nee Wujcik)

September 18, 1933 -  June 27, 2025

Please join us in celebrating the life of our wonderful mother and grandmother. Born in eastern Poland to Ukrainian parents, Mary immigrated to Alberta as a young girl, where she began a life marked by independence, adventure and resilience.

Mary learned four languages to build a career as a flight attendant and was an intrepid traveler who embraced the world with curiosity and courage, starting with a 5 month solo trip in Mexico and Cuba when she was only 20! In the 1960s, she met the late Norm Miller on a flight to UK, they married and together they raised a family. She was a devoted mother to Craig (Kerri), D’Arcy (Allison) and Elaine (Michael); grandmother to 6 and great-grandmother to 1. She is remembered by her beloved sister Pat (George) of whom she was eternally fond.

Mary will be remembered as a proud Canadian, a passionate gardener, a fearless skier who rarely wore a hat, and in later life an enthusiastic bowler who rarely missed a game.

Visitation for family and friends at the Turner & Porter Funeral Home, Peel Chapel (2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga) on Saturday July 5 from 10 to 11a.m., Memorial service at 11am.

I will always remember your mum's smile and I don't think I ever saw her without a smile! That's a good way to be remembered when we leave this earth! Wow, she was a very independent and confident person to travel solo for 5 months to Mexico and Cuba in addition to her other accomplishments and interests. She had a great life to 91 yrs and thankfully didn't suffer too much in her final days!

I will really miss my friend. Saw her last Tuesday to remind her about the BBQ at the Senior Centre. She always had a smile on her face and arms out for a hug. Even though her memory was not the best she always remembered me and was so excited to show me her garden and share her plant and rhubarb. She was a LADY. Rest in peace Mary

Your friend, Elizabeth.
