In Celebration of

Mary Emma Beverly Ann Frees

June 1, 1956 -  July 8, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we prepare to say goodbye to a beautiful soul — a mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend — Mary Emma Beverly Ann Frees, born on June 1, 1956, in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Daughter of Isabel Hobbs, Mary (Emma) was the heart of her family — a woman of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering resilience. Through life’s many ups and downs, she remained a steady source of love, support, and wisdom to everyone around her.

She is the cherished mother of Sydney, Tannisia, and Masio, and the proud grandmother of Sydney, Cleveland, Tejah, Logan, Maislyn, and Marleigh. Mary’s (Emma's) love also extended to her in-laws, Tamara and Jana, who were embraced as her own with warmth and kindness.

Mary ((Emma) was an amazing woman — always present, always giving, and always strong. Her love ran deep, her laughter was contagious, and her spirit left a lasting impression on all who were lucky enough to know her.

Her journey is not yet complete, but her family is preparing to honour her memory and legacy with the grace, love, and dignity that she lived by.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 3pm. All are welcome to join in remembering and reflecting on the remarkable life of Mary Emma Beverly Ann Frees — a woman who gave so much and asked for so little.
