In Celebration of

Mark Graham

Passed away peacefully in his 65th year, in Kitchener Waterloo with family by his side, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was the loving husband of Nancy Graham and stepfather to Brett, Jeffrey, and Kelly (MacDonald). He will be missed by his sister Kathy Graham-McTavish, wife of Robert McTavish; brother John Graham, husband of Lisa Graham; and his nieces and nephews. Mark was predeceased by his parents Maxine and Bruce Graham of Barrie Ontario.

Mark was born in Ottawa, raised in Belleville and spent all his childhood summers at the family cottage on White Lake. He attended the University of Waterloo and graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics Honours degree. Mark spent 33 years at Hydro One moving through a number of positions retiring in 2013 as Director, Business Development External Relations.

Mark was a voracious reader, enjoying everything from fantasy to world politics. He loved the outdoors, hockey and skiing and was a world traveler. A self-proclaimed connoisseur of wine, cheese, and dark chocolate, he was truly a master at crossword puzzles and Trivial pursuit. Mark will be missed dearly by his family and friends but we know he is now at peace.

The family is appreciative of the care provided by the staff of Luther Village Sunshine Centre and Forest Heights Long Term Care Home over the past few years.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Parkinson Canada.

Not only was Mark a great neighbour, we played hockey together for a number of years. Sharing rides to the rink on Sunday mornings and stopping for a coffee on our way home are some of my fondest memories of Mark. I am grateful for him being a part of my life.

I worked with Mark for several years in Hydro One Asset Management. I remember him preparing and witnessing for the company many times in front of the regulator. He had a good understanding of the industry and I remember him as a man who helped many his co-workers.
