February 27, 1964 - October 10, 2019

Peacefully, with great strength and kindness, with family by his side, on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 55, Mark was called home. Beloved husband of Leslie Leader. Cherished father of Charlie and Luke. Devoted brother of Brian, Louise, and Kevin. Loving son of Marjorie Duguay. Adventurous uncle to Julia, Adam, Sammy, Avery, Owen, Rosalie, Abigail, Leah and Zachary. Kind and patient coach and friend.

If desired, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Jumpstart Canada.

Still in shock to hear of Marks passing. He was always smiling and was one of the first to say good morning. He will be missed dearly. My sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP Friend

I met Mark for the first time ten years ago. I was visiting my soon-to-be wife's family in Oshawa. I remember that he welcomed me with warmth and kindness. I've seen him a few times since, most recently when he and his family came to visit us in Calgary last summer. Our families spent time together. My son connected with Luke over Minecraft, and my daughter had a special experience learning how to make Rice Krispy treats with Mark.
I was very sad to learn that he had lost his fight with cancer. I will always remember him as a kind and generous man.
