In Celebration of

Marion Lewis

December 12, 1933 -  December 12, 2020

Marion Geneva Odessa Lewis (née Brothers) passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Saturday, December 12, 2020, Marion’s 87th birthday. Marion attended Acadia University where she studied Secretarial Science and met her future husband, the late Dr. Ronald J. Lewis. She held several secretarial positions in Halifax, Nova Scotia prior to moving to Toronto, Ontario where Ron established his dental practice. She later worked in Ron’s dental office as Office Manager where her warm smile and presence made her very popular with the patients.

Marion was the doting mother of Derrick (Shannon), Lisa (Jimmy), and Craig (Abby). Always elegant and graceful, Marion was always the epitome of style. While raising her busy family, Marion pursued her interests in oil painting, ceramics, cooking, sewing, interior decorating and travelling. She was also the proud and loving grandmother of Claire, Adrian, Miles and Nathaniel.

Marion took great pride in her Nova Scotian roots where she grew up on a farm in Cambridge with her siblings William, Carl, Lillian, Beverly, Murray, Allison, Garfield, Sandra, Terry, Deborah and Cameron. Marion and her siblings were a close-knit family who enjoyed spending time together at family reunions, singing and dancing. Marion was cherished by many and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

A Celebration of Marion’s Life will be held at Hope Bible Church, 500 Great lakes Boulevard, Oakville on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Mom, you gave me my identity. A reason to be proud of my heritage and the strength to withstand opposition. You were always in my corner and I owe everything to you. I thank God for blessing me with a mother who always put others first. You gave more to others than you ever got in return which is true faith lived. May you spend eternity with our heavenly father hearing "Well done, good and faithful servant.

Love,

Craig

Dear Craig and Family,

A mother is with us always, first in her lifetime, then forever in our memory.
Craig, from when I have heard you talk about your mother, she sounded like she was a great woman. She did an excellent job raising you as evidenced by your character.
Your mother was a gift to this world and her compassion will carry on through you.
I am so very sorry for your loss .
