<div itemprop="description">Born in Zagreb, Croatia on June 1, 1936. Passed away surrounded by his family at the Credit Valley Hospital on April 7, 2013 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Gertraud Pavicic. Cherished father of Sandra and her husband Stephen Parry, Jennifer and her husband Steven Yarde, and Mario Dzemidzic. Adoring grandfather (Deda) of Evan, Nathan and Michael. His grandchildren were a source of joy and always brought a smile to his face. Mario is predeceased by his brother, Tihomir. As a young man, he played soccer professionally in Croatia, and after arriving in Canada he continued to pursue his passion for the game by refereeing and by attending many of his oldest grandson&rsquo;s soccer games. In 1982, Mario co-founded York County Appliance Parts &amp; Service, which continues to provide parts and maintenance solutions to home and business owners throughout the GTA. An avid card player, in his retirement he found fun and companionship with the Canadian Croatian Seniors Association and enjoyed sharing with his daughters the outcome of the group&rsquo;s many trips to Casino Rama and Niagara Fallsview Casino. Mario was a devoted and hardworking family man who always had a positive outlook on life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Friends may call at the Turner &amp; Porter &quot;Peel&quot; Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, (Hwy10. N. of the QEW) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. Private interment Meadowvale Cemetery.
