In Celebration of

Mario José Cordeiro

January 1, 1948 -  March 20, 2025

It is with a broken heart and overwhelming sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mario Cordeiro to his new life on March 20, 2025, the first day of spring. He was a devoted husband to Mary for 53 years; the loving father to Jamie and Kyle; father-in-law to Krystalyn and grandfather (Avô) to Zoey and Abby. Family was everything to Mario.

He fought valiantly always with courage and determination and never complaining till the end persevering many times for he loved life and all those around him. When the time came, as always, he took the burden of our decisions away by surrendering to God who brought him home alleviating years of struggles and pain to join all those who have left us and loved him. He will be rewarded in heaven for all his goodness.

Mario will live forever in our hearts and his loving spirit will be with us always. We will remember and cherish till eternity his kindness, gentle nature and the great love he left behind. We are blessed to have had him in our lives.

Please consider making a donation to Parkinson’s Canada in memory of Mario.

It was an honour knowing Mario for many years at Sherkston. He was always a pleasure to be with. It will not be the same not visiting him on the deck watching the waves come in. He will always be a our hearts when we at Sherkston.

I am so very shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Mario José’ passing. I have very fond memories of Mario and his parents from practically birth as our parents and he immigrated to Canada as some of the very early ones, which brought us all close together. Mario was a kind, thoughtful, and gentle person and so made a lasting impression. Sadly our families lost touch. But you will be missed Mario, heaven is lucky to have you.
Our sincere condoles to Mary, & all the family, at this painful time, may fond memories give you strength. May you rest in sweet peace Mario.
