Mario Cordiano, at the age of 84, passed away at William Osler Brampton Civic Hospital surrounded by his family, on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Mario leaves behind his beloved wife Raffaela of 54 years, his son Joseph, daughter Rosalinda, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law Frank, and loving grandchildren Christina, Marissa, Vanessa, Mario, and Matthew. Mario was the kindest and gentlest man.
He was born in Italy to a family of pharmacists. He served in the Navy and immigrated to Canada in the 50’s with his brothers Vittorio, Luciano, and Rodolfo. Here he made his life with his wife Raffaela. Had two wonderful children, many nieces and nephews, and loved to be surrounded by family and friends.
He will be greatly missed and cherished forever. We know now that Mario is starting his new life in heaven, may he rest in peace.
Visitation will be held at TURNER AND PORTER PEEL CHAPEL, 2180 Hurontario St (between the QEW and the Queensway), on Thursday August 15, 2019, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. MARGUERITE d'YOUVILLE PARISH, 2490 Sandalwood Pkwy East (on the corner of Torbram and Sandlewood), on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CEMETERY, 6933 Tomken Rd, (just south of Derry and East of Hwy. 410) Friday, August 16, 2019, immediately following the Funeral Mass.
